Asked to see two cars: a Palisade and Merc Gle they had. Only the palisade was there when we arrived but not that big of a deal. So we ordered a new one, and waited for it. It arrived and we get a call to come get it. Now we come to Saturday, for the pickup day. The salesman we had been working with doesn’t meet us even though we set up a time a week prior. Some other guy helped us through it and give us a quick rundown of the car's dashboard. No real celebration, no ceremony. Felt extremely rushed and forced out the door. They took our photo and no mention of sending us a copy. Didn't even know that we owed the rest of the down payment. We could have just driven off and I'm sure that would have been a headache. So we head on over to Volkswagen to do the rest of it. Still at this point, zero thank you for buying a car. Finance people don't seem to care at all that we're buying one. Anyway, we sign and off we go. Drove the car to relatives and noticed it smelled like something melting. Well, the engine still had plastic covers all over everything, which had melted and replaced that lovely new car smell. I had to take them off myself and who knows if I got them all. Off I go back to Hyundai and figured since their building was under construction ill take it over to Volkswagen where we signed the papers. They said nope, take it back to Hyundai service. Well can't, they're closed. Drive it around to the service bay and they say take it to the lot tech. He's great but doesnt quite get what I'm asking for. I wanted to see if I managed to get all the plastic wrapping off so it doesnt get stuck somewhere it shouldn't. I texted our sales guy and again, nothing back from him. No thank you, no sorry about the plastic we the dealer should have taken out. Also, random little plastic film coverings throughout the car. I mean at least leave the big long satisfying ones so we can pull it off ourselves if we're going to do this. Finally, take it back to the sales trailer and ask another salesman if he can look at it. He was nice and says no plastic. But who really knows if it's all out of there. No real sorry for the mess. I wasn't expecting like a big thing or something but I was hoping for a bit more than just a, well that’s really too bad, seems like you got it all out, good luck. This was our first brand new expensive car from a dealer I had heard good things about. We drove two hours to this place and still have not received any real apology, thank you, or anything. Won't be returning and I can only imagine how the future service is going to go on this thing if this is how buying the car went. Not looking forward to it.

I bought a new Santa Fe and when I got home I noticed there were four or five chips underneath the door handle. I immediately called the salesman and told him about it. He’ told me that he had noticed them also, but not to worry they would be fixed and I would never see them. This bothered me that he didn’t point the chips out because there were several cars that I would have picked instead of one that needed to be fixed. I have had the car in four times trying to get the chips so that they could not be seen. This last time it finally looks decent. This whole experience has been very frustrating and you can never get a hold of anyone at the dealership. They are too busy to answer the phone or to return phone calls. The last time I took the car in I was told my car would be in the shop for two days. A week later I called because I still hadn’t heard from them. I didn’t buy a new card to have all of these problems. Also, they advertise free car washes but every time I have taken my car in for the paint problem I’ve asked that they make sure and wash the car. It never fails that I will go to get the car and it has not been washed. Not only that, but the inside has been very dirty and that is not the way it was when I dropped it off. Out of the four times that I took my car in and left it I was able to use a loaner car twice. Both cars that I used were in very bad need of a wash job. When I have to drive their car for a week it would be nice to have a clean car. That is pretty important to me.. On two of the occasions I dropped my car off and had to use their shuttle service. I must say that guy was very courteous and very accommodating. All of the people that I have dealt with seem friendly and very nice, but they just do not follow through. They want to sell you the car and then never see you again.

I had negotiated a deal on a vehicle, and the day before I was to complete the deal there was a change in the price of 500. I was told if provided proof of military, I could get the car for the price they had quoted but if not the price would go up 500. How can a dealer offer a discount before they even know a customer qualified for that discount, to me this is very bad customer service. Our salesman was top notch. We wouldn't have bought a Hyundai if it wasn't for him. He deserves a 5-star rating. When transferred to financing is where they let us down. We were told trade-in's were going to be given so much over KBB but we weren't. They had a discount on the windshield, but didn't realize that was conditional on qualifying on your credit. The people at Murdock Hyundai were friendly and willing to work with me despite a difficult situation with my deposit. I felt rushed and completely overwhelmed and wanted my deposit back until I knew for sure what I wanted. After doing my homework, I felt confident going back to Murdock and purchasing the car that I wanted even though it didn't have leather seats. They told me I could have a local company replace the cloth seats with leather. This made me very happy! I am very happy with the results. It looks amazing. This car has everything I wanted. I know I was a pain in the butt but I did eventually buy a car from Murdock. So far I am very happy with the car and the customer service I have received.

Worked hard to get requested vehicle, had to go far and wide to find and retrieve it. Would like a response to coupon sent from Hyundai Motor for being a VW Diesel owner $1000.00 coupon but can not get anyone to commit for the money!!!

Tyler Merrill is an exceptionally good salesman and is very down to earth and humble in helping his customers. During our visit many people came to see Tyler and receive help from him (which in no way hindered, annoyed or prolonged my visit) I could tell that this was a man of good integrity and a heart for the customers. I could tell he was more concerned for me and my needs, rather than what was in my bank account and moving a car off of the lot.

Throughout the entire process, I received outstanding service from Logan, our salesman, and the entire staff at Murdock. I have a Hyundai Dealership around the corner from my house in St. George, UT, but I elected to drive the 400 miles up to Logan to deal with the Murdock dealership. I wanted a Black-on-Black 2018 Santa Fe Sport Ultimate 2.0T with the tech package. Logan got me the exact car I wanted (they had to have it delivered from one of their ports), had it on time and ready to go. I absolutely love the car, and I have zero regrets in the entire process. My wife and I were driving the dealership and she said we should check out prices. We stopped and drove a couple of vehicles and worked with a salesperson and ended up purchasing a vehicle. October pricing seemed to be acceptable to us and completed the purchase.

In terms of sales, if Kaden had a sister and a dog, I'd choose the dog. This was the worst car buying experience I have had. He never provided the full picture of the sale. Always provided me with the low price rather than the "No Regrets" price which was the option I wanted. Not good at negotiating a price. About midway through I decided to work with the Finance manager to cut the time of working with the price. Otherwise the transaction would have taken all day rather than wasting half of my day. Because of this experience I will probably never purchase from this dealer again
